OTHER ACTIVITIES
We celebrate days of national importance, with due reverence to kindle the fire of patriotism and to kindle the harmony and peace with great zeal and fervour. Similarly, we also contrive a work of events to encourage our students to develop and take keen interest in the welfare of the society by organising competition on marked days of importance such as; world anti–drugs day, world population day, vanmahotsav, girl child day, world literary day, ozone day, world elder’s day, annual day, farewells, teachers day and childrens day, are a regular feature every year. Teachers and students make elaborate preparations to make these days as memorable as possible.
OTHER CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
Literary Association
To enhance the importance of Language and to enable students and exhibit their oratorical skills, writing skills and creativity. The various departments of English, Sanskrit and Hindi conduct activities like elocution, essay writing, handwriting, poetry recitation, quiz, debates, story telling, shloka recitation and discussion on topical issues.
Art Circle
Art circles gives an opportunity for our students to find expression to their talents in painting, drawing, music and dance. For those with a flair for Drawing, the Art Teachers organise special classes and coach students to participate in the Elementary and Intermediate Grade Examination conducted by the Maharashtra Govt. Competitions like 'best out of waste', 'rakhi making', 'greeting cards', 'salad decoration', 'flower arrangement' and 'rangoli' are also organised.
Science Club
The Science club organises various educative Programmes with the sole objective of infusing scientific fervour and a spirit of inquiry in the minds of children. This club encourages students to participate in workshops, skills seminars and exhibitions. Students are urged to attend discourses and view educational films by associating themselves with various private organisation.
Cultural Circle
The Cultural Department believes that Books can bring Knowledge but not give our students culture and thus, a week long cultural festival ‘PRERNA‘ which is a conglomeration of all cultural events that are usually spread throughout the year is organised. The following competitions are planned for this occasion; Carnatic Music, Mehendi, Light Music, Rangoli, Group Dance, Monologues, Group Singing, Fancy Dance, Ad-mad, Dramatisation and Mimicry.
