| Guru Purnima was celebrated with great clan at Shri. Muthuswamy Iyer Auditorium of SIES High school by paying reverence to Ved Vyasa, the universal teacher. The programme commenced by the recital of 'Guru Paduka Stothram' and by invoking the blessings of almighty - followed by the traditional lighting of the lamp by the Chief Guest Shri. Ramamurthy (Member, Management of South Indian Educatio Society). Headmistress Mrs. Mangala Panchapakesan through her introductory speech highlighted the significance of the day. Speech on 'Guru Purnima Day' by Aditya Subramanian of XA and on Ved Vyasa by Serin Sara Samuel of XA added a touch of grace and enlightenment to the auspicious day. 'Throtakastam' was presented by the students and the whole auditorium reverberated in its melody. Chief Guest Shri. Ramamurthy addressed the students and stressed the importance and ease of learning Sanskrit language and its pronunciation. The day's programmme concluded by the presentation of vote of thanks |
